On Fri., Sept. 15 from 1 - 4 p.m. the Senior Center will hold a Santa’s workshop. Our talented and creative elves will work to create, decorate and design items for this year’s Santa’s gift shop. The grand opening will be held on Sat., Nov. 4 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., for the entire community to enjoy. There will be wonderful items for sale made by our elves, a wide range of gift selections, home baked goodies, gift baskets, lunch cooked on site, gift certificates from various community businesses, holiday decorations, and more. In order for any of this to be possible, we need donations – household items, Christmas items, Thanksgiving and autumn items, decorations, handmade crafts, items to go in gift baskets, jewelry, etc. Donated items must be clean and in good condition. No books, broken items, clothes, or children’s items will be taken, although, hats, gloves, and scarves are accepted. PLEASE put our elves to work. If you’re talented, consider making something to donate. Donations may be dropped off at the front desk of the Senior Center, 202 N. Church St., Mooresville, M-F 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Donation forms are available for tax purposes. This is a fundraiser for the Senior Center and all proceeds go to support South Iredell Senior Center services. PLEASE donate, and remember the Senior Center as you downsize, or if you or your neighbors get rid of items no longer wanted. Donations are taken year round. Thanks to all that have been donating!
