This FREE workshop offers real world strategies and methods designed to help individuals prepare for retirement or those in the early stages of retirement who are planning on filing for their Social Security benefits. This course can help take the confusion out of the many different options available to begin receiving Social Security income and help you to determine which option would be best for you individually bases on your circumstances. You will also learn how income from other sources will affect the amount you are able to receive from Social Security and the tax implications involved. This workshop is being provided as a means of educating and preparing the non-senior community for retirement and receiving social security benefits, however, the program is open to all interested. To accommodate work schedules, the workshop will be held as a luncheon program on Fri., Jan. 27 at 11 a.m. and a light lunch will be provided. To attend, please RSVP to the South Iredell Senior Center, 704-662-3337 by Fri., Jan. 20. Space is limited. This educational course is being sponsored by American Financial Education Alliance, a non-profit organization.
