    In-home Sales Design Associate
    Floor Coverings International is a leading floor coverings organization that inspires the homeowner and provides an in-home experience dedicated to making the process easy, affordable and seamless. The Design Associate role will be key in driving the growth and expansion of the North Charlotte and Lake Norman Region. A successful Design/Sales Associate will work closely with a team of Installers, Vendors, Office Management and Senior Management to ensure project quality, time management adherence and customer satisfaction. 

    DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES 

    Sales Management

    • Drive sales using consultative selling through in-home appointments
    • Develop proposals and customer quotes
    • Leverage CRM to manage leads, follow up and customer relationships
    • Create demand through network development and customer referrals
    • Provide excellence in customer service
    • Work with office manager, vendors and network partners to ensure the best customer experience possible
    • Support and participate in selling workshops and training sessions
    Marketing and Customer Engagement
    • Support company efforts in developing local marketing strategies
    • Participate in vendor, network and community events to drive local leads
    • Generate local leads through relationship building and referral programs
    Production Support
    • Routine follow up on open proposals
    • Coordinate with Office Manager to ensure materials, installer and appointment details are accurate
    • Attend weekly staff meetings
      • Provide updates on sales metrics and activities
      • Provide updates on market activities and opportunities
    • Coordinate with Office Manager to ensure the customer is informed throughout the process
    • Develop accurate customer proposals and job costing models
    • Update InspireNet and CRM daily to ensure real-time customer communication, lead management and pipeline progress
    Financial Support
    • Create accurate job quotes and customer proposals
    • Provide weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual sales reporting
    • Accountable for job and territory Gross Margin performance
     
    SKILLS and EXPERIENCE PREFERRED
    • Experience with CRM – Salesforce.com a plus
    • Exceptional Customer Service Skills
    • Strong Communication Skills Both Oral and Written
    • Strong Decision-Making Skills
    • Organized, Detail Oriented and Able to Multi-task
    • Able to Work Independently
    • Consultative Selling Experience a plus
     
    EDUCATION
    • Associates Degree in Business Related Field is Required
    • Bachelor’s degree a Plus
    • 3-5 Years’ experience in Sales, Design Consultation, Customer Service or Marketing
