‘Rethinking Your Food Handling Habits’, by Ann Simmons, Extension Agent, N.C. State University Cooperative will be the presentation at the October 18th meeting of the PROBUS Club of Lake Norman. Ms. Simmons will discuss how food handling practices can lead to illnesses effecting one in six Americans every year. Ann is a Certified Health Education Specialist and a Certified ServSafe Instructor with 19 years of experience evaluating nutrition, food safety and health programs in Rowan and Iredell Counties. All are welcome to attend this free presentation at the PROBUS Club on October 18th, held at the Berea Baptist Church Fellowship Hall on Hwy 150, Mooresville, just west of Perth Road. Coffee and fellowship begin at 10 a.m. The hour-long program will begin at 10:30. You are invited to join members for lunch at a nearby restaurant following the meeting.
